CERT III & IV

Mount Pleasant College offers nationally recognised qualifications in Sound Production – Certificate III & Certificate IV. Students in these courses will develop technical understanding, skill and experience in both live audio and studio production environments.

 

You will learn the theory, setup and operation of audio systems. Additionally, you will be exposed to lighting installation and application, as well as elements of event direction and production management. This knowledge and skill will be put into practice as the students assist, run and direct the production of live events and studio recording projects. You will be introduced to some industry-leading consoles, digital audio workstations and our in-house recording & mixing studio, becoming proficient in the use of this equipment and software as you move through to the higher level Sound Production courses.

 

As you complete the Sound Production courses you will gain considerable understanding and experience in live sound and studio production and be equipped to enter the technical production industry or complete advanced study.

IN THESE COURSES YOU WILL:

  • create, edit, record and mix both your own and other artists’ original music
  • become proficient using industry-leading live audio consoles.
