A School of Creative Arts Certificate II in Music is the launch pad to see your dreams realised. You will begin this journey with a solid foundation in music theory, song writing fundamentals, arranging, piano skills, music production, and performance technique.

The Certificate II in Music course will have you writing original music to perform to the public, but before you get to the performance you will …
- strengthen your song in song writing class
- create a chord chart arrangement
- teach the song to your band
- record your song in Red Wall Studio using industry-leading digital audio workstations
- rehearse the show as well as promote it
- and finally walk out on stage to perform your ‘masterpiece’
At course completion you will have gained a foundational understanding of song writing, arranging and performance. You will also be perfectly equipped to take your learning to the next level in SOCA’s Certificate III in Music.
