Administration Officer

0.6 – 1.0 FTE

 

Purpose of Position

  • To provide oversight of Administration and Compliance at Mount Pleasant College (MPC)
  • To provide administrative services that enable the College to meet the requirements of a Registered Training Organisation as detailed within the Standards for RTOs (2015)
  • To provide quality administrative services for partner schools and other key stakeholders of the College
  • To assist with the leadership and development of MPC
  • To assist with the development and review of College policies and procedures

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all administration activities of the College – including student records
  • Oversee the issuance of Qualification documents to eligible students – including Certificate, Statement of Attainment (SoA), and Record of Result (RoR)
  • Oversee the repository of all College course documentation and training materials
  • Document and implement the processes of continuous improvement applying to College administration
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the VET sector and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate regulatory requirements to College staff members and oversee the implementation of strategies to meet these requirements
  • Assist senior College staff with the development and review of relevant policies and procedures

 

Essential Tasks

  • Manage the College’s compliance with the Standards for RTOs (2015)
  • Together with the Head of College, ensure the College meets the requirements of the Regulator – including submissions for change of scope, change of details, renewal applications and audits
  • Together with the Head of College, ensure the College meets the requirements of other key stakeholders – including the WA Department of Education
  • Assist senior College staff with the development and review of policies and procedures
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives of the College

 

Essential Competencies

  • Appropriate tertiary-level qualification
  • Sound working knowledge of the Standards for RTOs (2015)
  • Experience with educational administration in the VET training sector
  • Hold a current Working With Children card
  • Hold a current National Police check

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Independent research skills
  • Strong working knowledge of computer applications including Outlook and Microsoft Office packages (Word and Excel) as a minimum

Administration Officer

Live Sound Trainer

0.2 – 0.4 FTE

 

Purpose of Position

  • To provide training services to the Sound Production students at Mount Pleasant College (MPC)
  • To assist College students and staff during Professional Performance Practice and recording sessions
  • To contribute to the ongoing development and review of school curriculum

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct and encourage MPC sound production students
  • Contribute to the development of VET training programmes at Certificate II, III, and IV level which meet all requirements of the CUA Creative Arts and Culture training package units
  • Contribute to the development of training and assessment resources required by the College to meet the requirements of the VET regulator
  • Identify resources for the sound production courses offered at MPC
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of, and commitment to support, MPC’s purpose, ethos and organisational structure

 

Essential Tasks

  • Instruct MPC sound production students
  • Develop training materials to be used when instructing MPC sound production students
  • Store copies of all documentation produced in the development of the training programmes in the appropriate location(s) on the College server (note: this includes teaching plans, student handouts, module outlines and assessment instruments)
  • Participate in the process of validation and moderation of course materials, including assessment items
  • Assist with the procurement of equipment once approval has been granted by the Head of College
  • Complete all administrative tasks relevant to the position of Sound Production Trainer as requested and in accordance with MPC Policies and Procedures
