Do you have a basic foundation in biblical knowledge but are looking for deeper understanding of the Christian faith?

The 10433NAT Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology course has been designed to build upon introductory skills and knowledge. It is well-suited for people who want to work within Christian denominations as pastoral workers in children’s, youth, or community ministries.

As you complete the Certificate IV course you will have a deeper understanding of the scriptures and the way in which they are applied in a ministry setting as well as in everyday life. You will also be equipped to pursue further theological study at Diploma level or in higher education.

The course includes 9 separate subjects (6 core and 3 electives)
The core units cover such areas as…

  • the Old Testament background
  • the culture and social setting of the New Testament
  • the key theological ideas and themes
  • applying theological concepts in everyday life
  • communicating theological ideas

The elective units are practical work placements that focus on leading and participating in small groups. You may choose to complete the electives in a youth or a small group which makes this course ideal for a local church intern.
