The 10432NAT Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology course offers a way to learn more about the Old and New Testaments. The course was developed to provide introductory knowledge and skills for people wanting to serve in Christian denominations as ministry workers or religious instructors.

As you study the Certificate III, you will develop new insights about the scripture’s application in your life and in the lives of others. You will also be equipped for further theological study at Certificate IV level.

The course includes 8 separate subjects (6 core and 2 electives)
The core units focus upon an introduction to…

  • the scripture (the Old and New Testaments)
  • theology – key ideas, themes and practices
  • applying theological concepts in everyday life
  • communicating theological ideas

The elective units are practical work placements that focus upon leading and participating in small groups. You may choose to complete the electives in a youth or a small group which makes this course ideal for a local church intern.
